What Is The Difference Between An Ultrasonic Metal Welding Machine And A Plastic Welding Machine?
Different welding machines have different functions, and also have their own characteristics in operation and use. The editor thinks that the main point of the welding machine is its own working principle. It is an important part of the comparison to be able to further understand the function of the welding machine and the entire operation mode. Everyone is interested in ultrasonic plastic welding machine and metal welding machine. Xiaobian will explain the difference between these two welding machines.
1. Ultrasonic plastic welding machine
When ultrasonic waves are applied to a thermoplastic interface, it generates thousands of high-frequency vibrations per second. This high frequency vibration reaches a certain amplitude and transmits ultrasonic energy to the welding area through the upper welding part. Because of the sound insulation of the welding area, i.e. the two welding interfaces, localized high temperatures are generated. Due to the poor thermal conductivity of plastics, they cannot be distributed in time for a period of time and gather in the welding area, resulting in the rapid melting of the contact surfaces of the two plastics, plus a certain pressure to combine them into one. When the ultrasonic wave stops working, let the pressure continue for a few seconds to solidify it, thereby forming a strong molecular chain to achieve the purpose of welding, and the welding strength can be close to the strength of the raw material. The quality of ultrasonic plastic welding depends on the amplitude of the transducer welded joint, additional pressure and welding time. The welding time and welding head pressure can be adjusted, and the amplitude is determined by the transducer and the amplitude rod. The interaction of these three quantities has an appropriate value. When the energy exceeds the appropriate value, the amount of plastic melting is large, and the welding material is easily deformed; when the energy is small, it is not easy to weld, and the pressure cannot be too large. This optimum pressure is the product of the length of the side of the weld and the optimum pressure per 1mm of the side.
2. Ultrasonic metal welding machine
The principle of ultrasonic metal welding is a special method of connecting the same metal or dissimilar metals by using the mechanical vibration energy of ultrasonic frequency (over 15KHz). When ultrasonic welding metal, neither current nor high temperature heat source is applied, but under static pressure, the vibration energy of the wire rope frame is converted into friction work, deformation energy and limited temperature rise between the workpieces. The metallurgical bond between the joints is a solid-state welding that does not melt the base metal, which can effectively overcome the spatter and oxidation caused by resistance welding. Ultrasonic metal welding machine can perform single-spot welding, multi-spot welding and short-strip welding of non-ferrous metal thin wire or sheet materials such as copper, silver, aluminum, nickel, etc. It can be widely used in the welding of thyristor leads, fuses, electrical leads, lithium battery electrodes and ears.
There are many differences between plastic welding machines and metal welding machines, including functionality, mold materials, and working principles. The products they weld involve many fields, and it is necessary to understand the welding machine clearly.
