Ultrasonic welding machine will generate heat when in use, which is mainly caused by the following reasons
1. When ultrasonic waves act on the contact surface of thermoplastic plastics, it will produce tens of thousands of high-frequency vibrations per second. This kind of high-frequency vibration with a certain amplitude will transmit ultrasonic energy to the welding area through the upper weldment. That is, the acoustic resistance at the interface of the two weldments is large, so local high temperature will be generated. Therefore, when the ultrasonic welder is working, the mold, the horn, and the transducer will all generate heat. As long as the temperature does not exceed 80 degrees, it can work normally. .
Solution: Use air cooling on the transducer and mold (small fan or air pipe can be used) or change the welding head material, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy and steel, among which aluminum alloy heat dissipation is faster!
2. The power loss of the ultrasonic sensor itself, because the energy conversion efficiency cannot reach 100%, the energy loss must be converted into heat. An increase in temperature will cause changes in sensor parameters and gradually change the best matching state. What's more serious is that the temperature increase will cause the deterioration of the performance of the piezoelectric ceramic sheet. This in turn causes the sensor to work worse and heat up faster, which is a vicious circle. Therefore, the inverter must be provided with good cooling conditions, usually with room temperature air cooling; when necessary, cold air blast cooling can also be used. Under normal circumstances, the temperature rise caused by these two points is also normal. Under normal cooling conditions, no major problems will occur.
3. The frequency of the ultrasonic transducer, ultrasonic horn, and mold is not matched, which causes a large amount of heat, which cannot be controlled, and the consequences are serious. The heating of any part of the vibration system will affect the working state of the entire system. In severe cases, the ultrasonic sensor, ultrasonic mold or ultrasonic generator will be damaged.
