ULTRASONIC WASTEWATER TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY ANALYSIS
The cavitation effect of ultrasonic waves provides the possibility of degrading harmful organic substances in water, thereby realizing the purpose of ultrasonic sewage treatment. In the sewage treatment process, ultrasonic cavitation has a strong ability to degrade organic substances, and the degradation rate is very fast. The high energy generated by the collapse of ultrasonic cavitation bubbles is enough to break chemical bonds, and cavitation bubbles collapse to generate hydroxyl radicals ( OH) and hydrogen radicals (H), which undergo oxidation reactions with organic substances, can convert harmful organic substances in water bodies into CO2, H2O, inorganic ions, or organic substances that are less toxic and degradable than the original organic substances. Therefore, in the traditional sewage treatment, biodegradation of organic pollutants that are difficult to handle can be achieved by ultrasonic cavitation.
Theoretical basis
The principle of ultrasonic degradation of pollutants in water is mainly the theory of cavitation and the principle of free radical oxidation. Due to the change of the reaction conditions caused by ultrasonic cavitation, the thermodynamic changes of the chemical reaction are caused, and the speed and the yield of the chemical reaction are improved. In addition, under the localized high-temperature and high-pressure environment generated by ultrasonic cavitation, water is decomposed to produce H and OH radicals. In addition, air (N2 and O2) dissolved in the solution may also undergo free-radical cleavage reactions to generate N and O radicals.
