The ultrasonic metal welding machine was occasionally invented in the 1830s. At that time, in the experiment of electric current spot welding electrode and ultrasonic vibration, it was discovered that under-Heng current can also be welded, so the ultrasonic metal cold welding technique was developed. Although ultrasonic welding was invented earlier, but so far, its inductive mechanism is not very clear. It is similar to friction welding, but there are differences. Ultrasonic welding has a short time and the temperature is lower than recrystallization; it is not the same as pressure welding because the static pressure applied is much smaller than pressure welding. It is usually felt that in the initial stage of the ultrasonic welding process, tangential vibration enters the oxides on the outside of the metal, and the bumps on the outside cause repeated micro-welding and damage processes, which increase the contact area and increase the welding area. The temperature in the zone decreases and plastic deformation occurs at the interface of the weldment. In this way, under the influence of pressure, when they are close to each other to the distance where the atomic gravity can produce the influence, the solder joint is formed. The welding time is too long, or the ultrasonic amplitude is too large, which will reduce the welding strength and even damage it.
