The research of ultrasonic atomization is one of the important factors of the fuel spray process in the diesel engine combustion chamber. The droplet characteristics are affected by the liquid characteristics and the vibration frequency. In this study, the droplet formation phenomenon and droplet size at different frequencies in the ultrasonic atomization process of water liquid were studied. Ultrasonic atomizers are used in the atomization process to produce droplets. The CFD-2D with a volume of fluid (VOF) model was used to study the droplet size and droplet formation process at different frequencies. In this model, water with flexural vibration with a constant film thickness and constant vibration amplitude is used. The vibration frequency can vary from 50 kHz to 200 kHz in increments of 50 kHz. The results show that as the vibration frequency increases, the number of droplets and the area formed increase. The impact of vibration frequency on droplet size, droplet formation time, speed, and several droplets is more significant at the vibration frequency of 50 kHz to 100 kHz than the vibration frequency of 100 kHz to 200 kHz.
