Hello everyone! This article will be the first work of the HOGO studio. This golden time really didn't want to spend time watching the little video of iQiyi, so I forced myself to sit quietly in a small space of 1 square meter.
"Do what you like, not good at it. For the work you are good at, you can only succeed at best, and the work you like will let you do all the enthusiasm, persistence and dedication, and rush to excellence. peak".
So I will continue to do what I like to do.
I will explain the application of ultrasound in a more accessible way.
This time our Altrasonic received the task of welding nylon-based electronics to weld the top and bottom parts of the product together by ultrasonic welding machine.
Why can ultrasonic waves be welded to plastic materials? In fact, ultrasonics can particularly demonstrate its advantages for thermoplastics. When ultrasonic waves act on thermoplastic plastic contact surfaces, high-frequency vibrations of tens of thousands of times per second are generated. This high-frequency vibration of a certain amplitude is passed through the upper weldment. Ultrasonic energy is transmitted to the weld zone, and localized high temperatures are generated due to the large acoustical resistance at the weld zone, i.e., at the interface of the two welds. Moreover, due to the poor thermal conductivity of the plastic, it can not be dissipated in time and gather in the weld zone, so that the contact faces of the two plastics melt rapidly, and after a certain pressure, they are integrated into one. When the ultrasonic wave stops, let the pressure last for a few seconds to solidify it, thus forming a strong molecular chain for welding purposes, the welding strength can be close to the strength of the raw material.
Perhaps for the small partners, some words are not particularly familiar, such as "amplitude, thermoplastic, high frequency, etc.", I will not talk about it here, the follow-up will share the essays of these words separately, you can first search from google for help better understanding.
Let us look at the structure of electronic products,
Customers typically provide samples for design and welding testing before ALTRASONIC provides an ultrasonic solution.
During the welding test, we found that the customer's samples’ welding line design is not very reasonable, including the flatness of the welding surface is not enough, which has a great impact on our welding process, there will be some position over-welding, and some positions But not welded. The plan for this delivery is definitely not up to standard.
Regarding the welding line (also known as the ultrasonic line), please see the figure below.
Then ALTRASONIC's sales engineer will communicate with the customer and let the customer adjust the mold to improve the flatness, and our Altrasonic engineers will advise the customer to design the reserved height of the welding line.
After many times of communication with the customer, and constantly cooperate and improve the program, the finished product is finally welded.
The difficulty of this project is that the customer adds 30% glass fiber to the fifth batch of materials. Unlike the sample without glass fiber, the parameters required for the ultrasonic welding machine need to be adjusted accordingly. The current ultrasonic machine is absolutely Most are digital, so it's very easy and convenient to set the parameters.
Every day, I will update a small essay on ultrasonic applications. Interested partners can also visit our Altrasonic website at www.altrasonicautomation.com for more information.
