There is a large demand for plastic toys in the market. What are the common welding methods?
When it comes to plastic, everyone is familiar with it. From children's toys to instrument containers, from computer casings to automotive parts, from brushing cylinders to aircraft parts, plastic products are everywhere in our lives.
Injection molding is the most commonly used method in plastic processing. This method is suitable for all thermoplastics and some thermoset plastics, and the amount of plastic products produced is not as good as other molding methods. As one of the main tools for injection molding, the injection mold has a low level in quality accuracy, manufacturing cycle and production efficiency in the injection molding process. It directly affects product quality, output, cost and product update, and also determines the company. Responsiveness and speed in market competition.
In the production process, plastics that come out through different injection molds are often welded. So, what are the methods of welding plastic toys?
1. Hot plate welding
Plastic toy hot plate welding machine features: simple, suitable for welding large areas of plastic. The electric heating plate is used to quickly soften both sides of the welding. After the electric heating plate is removed, the plastics on both sides are fused by pressure, and the welding is completed by cooling. Disadvantages: The cycle is long, and the plastic is easy to stick to the hot plate, which is difficult to clean and pollute.
2. Hot air welding
Features: Lightweight, but difficult to operate. The hot air melts the same material at the weld and completes the welding.
3. Pulse welding
Pressing two sheets of film and using a nichrome wire to instantaneously complete the soldering.
4. Friction welding
The frictional heat generated by the two parts under the working pressure during the whole process of friction makes the part of the plastic melt and soften, and the alignment is fixed until the solidification is firm.
5. Ultrasonic welding
Ultrasonic toy welding machines use high frequency mechanical energy to soften or melt the thermoplastic at the joint.
The connected part is fixed by pressure, and the frequency is usually transmitted by ultrasonic vibration of 20~40 kHz. The transducer converts the high-power vibration signal into corresponding mechanical energy. If the necessary welding plastic part is added to the contact interface, the welding part The joint is intensely rubbed at the moment of intense friction, and the molecules are alternately fused to obtain a welding effect.
Ultrasonic welding process is fast, welding time is less than 1 second, and automation is easy. Plastic toy manufacturers use automatic ultrasonic welding to improve production efficiency and help enterprises to transform and upgrade.
