1. Equipment start-up time
Due to the need for a narrow blade design, the design and manufacture of ultrasonic cutting tool heads are challenging. Vibrating the cutter head at maximum amplitude under no load can sometimes cause premature damage to the cutter head. Therefore, the signal from the ultrasonic generator should be synchronized with the automated machine so that the cutter head can fully vibrate before the knife edge comes into contact with the food. Vibration is necessary before contact to avoid deformation of the food, which would be caused by contact with non-vibrating cutting surfaces.
2. Vibration amplitude
The term "amplitude" describes the microscopic displacement of the vibration of the cutting surface of the tool head. The amplitude is adjusted mechanically by the ultrasonic horn, and digitally adjusted by the ultrasonic generator. The amplitude of the amplitude affects the cutting process and must be adjusted to suit the needs of each application.
3. Cutting speed
The speed at which the ultrasonic cutting knife enters and advances through the material to be cut is also a process variable and should be adjusted for each cutting process. Sometimes it is necessary to slowly penetrate the shell of the product to avoid deformation, and then increase the speed of the cutter in the product to achieve the best cutting effect.
4. Vibration end time
Depending on the consistency of the material to be cut, after turning off the ultrasonic vibration, the finished section may tend to stick to the side of the cutting knife. Therefore, the ultrasonic vibration is maintained when the tool head is taken out of the product, and the cutting knife can be released more cleanly and consistently with the frictionless feature.
